Melting …

Melting
Old tracks reemerge
Begin anew

The spiritual journey is not a straight line, not linear by any means. Often times we find ourselves retracing our old steps, after all this is an introspective journey. Our past is informing our present. We take to our practice, sitting, walking, any act of meditative awareness, dropping in, allowing the senses to relax, our presence becoming still. Thoughts, feelings, stories still emerging, this is natural. As we melt into the stillness, offering space for deeper, non clinching listening, patterns emerge, conditions revealed, serving or not. We recognize ourselves from a different time perhaps even era of our lives. What is it asking of us? What’s the message? Are we in a place of being able to receive it? Has this message revealed itself before? Allow the stillness to answer with honestly and openness. Bring in a dose of compassion to the inquiry. Soften, open, receptive without being in hurry. Present, just fully present. Not turning away, facing it, courageously, compassionately. Listen … with your heart open.
